Dana is an award-winning music composer, violinist, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter hailing from Kazakhstan. Her musical journey began at the tender age of 5 when she first picked up a violin, setting in motion a lifelong passion for music.
Dana's early years were marked by remarkable achievements as a violinist, earning laurels at prestigious competitions and performing with Kazakh State Symphony Orchestra from the age of 7. Since then, she has been performing as a soloist and a concertmaster in various orchestras.
Yet, Dana's musical abilities extend far beyond classical traditions. At 21 years old, she embarked on a new and exciting chapter as a film composer, scoring her debut film, "Zere." This film not only deeply resonated with audiences across Kazakhstan but also garnered international acclaim, securing awards for Best Original Score at film festivals such as "Kinoshock" and "Listapad."
In the past two years, Dana has scored four feature films, which made their way to all the theaters across the country, several trailers and commercials, including an award-winning score for Samsung, recognized for its exceptional use of music at the PHNX Adforum awards.
Beyond composing, Dana is a singer-songwriter, music producer, and a proficient player of an array of instruments, including violin, viola, piano, guitar, bass, and the traditional Kazakh instrument known as the "dombyra." She collaborated with esteemed artists, such as Latin Grammy winner Noel Schajris and had partnerships with renowned companies like Spitfire Audio.
Dana's dedication to her craft is further exemplified by her academic journey, which led her to graduate from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in screen scoring with a scholarship - a significant accomplishment representing her homeland, Kazakhstan.
Currently based in Los Angeles, Dana is working on new projects and her own music, continuing to push the boundaries of her creative expression.
